Identify the Possibilities
Creative Pitch wanted a fundraising event based on the ideals of reuse and sustainability. Due to their very limited budget, the event needed a strategy to build relationships with the community in a way that provided mutual value and promoted a shared mission.
Value the Audience
Though the group of conscious spectators were diverse in their backgrounds and professions, they were brought together through promotions of common shared interests like top shelf drinks, fashion, good music, and cutting edge entertainment.
Create Purpose-Driven Elements
We identified Nau Outdoor Clothing as a company with a shared mission and invited them to showcase their Collective Stories on a big screen to bring outdoor elements into an urban event and promote the Nau crowd-sourcing projects. We found a b-boy crew to break dance in Nau clothing, which showcased their products without having to have a boring cat-walk of a fashion show. Our street artist friends flung VOC-free paint on recycled materials for the performance art piece. Wearing clothing from our collection, the DJ's were spinning old school R&B and Funk while they modeled our goods. This created a message that sustainability and social responsibility can have an edge.
Holistic Brand Experience
Creative Pitch raised $4,000, the Nau clothing brand gained even more awareness, and everyone enjoyed their drinks, entertainment, and music - all the while helping underserved children and teachers get much needed art supplies.
